This morning at 3am, I was awoken by the spirit of hot rodding (aka a 16 year old with a 91 civic and a fart can exhaust trying to do burnouts with 90hp of fury) so I got up and got after the starter wiring. Can confirm it would have melted and eventually caused catastrophe.

So I got creative with zip ties and some DEI, and man, this thing now has more heat shielding on it than the space shuttle. But I’m happy with the results and that it’s safe. If it burns to the ground now, the truck truly has a death wish.

While I was out there, turned off the lights and enjoyed the moon for a while.

Added this head unit and figuring out if I want to mount it in upper AC vent slot, or keep it in middle. I moved hvac down to bottom slot, since it was opened already.

Matching up and modifying my 67 cowling to affix it to the C30 square body cowling, 2 hours thinking, 1 hour of work- glad there’s no timelines on these projects and I’m not paying anybody to do this… I’d go broke

I'd like to find the two front body mounts for a Square body cab... with a two inch body lift. I suppose no one sells them without buying the entire kit. But I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has removed any that they might still have stored and gathering dust.

Got the stereo wired up with the amp. Found out that one side of the old rca wires wasn't working. So the pioneer I pulled out is fine and it will go in the 82. The mic is hooked up too so I can sinc my phone and use it too. The sub channel is not hooked up because I need another set of rca wires and some subs. That will be next. But I have some tunes with the po old speakers and the 6x9 3way Sony speakers.

Put the led lights in the gage cluster and like them. I left the clear plastic piece out because it makes it harder to see. Some of the lights aren't working but, I can see the spedo and fuel gages good. I have the dummy lights on the left side of dash. That's why the gages under the cig lighter.
Still need to see why the other lights aren't working.
