I have one of these not the same brand,but you get the idea. They are double wall construction,for better temp contr big enough and sturdy enough to hang a rearend in. You use it for storage when not in use. Now all you need is to find one cheap at an auction or on Craigslist and pirate an old even for controls and elements. Free standing metal shelving will fit inside so you wouldn't have to tear it all down between uses,set the shelving to clear your elements.

I did pull the plugs but I left all the belts on so the power steering, alternator and water pump were also rotating. As the valves were adjusting properly, it got more difficult to rotate as we would expect. Maybe the GM hot cam also increases cylinder pressures?

Generally a hotter cam will lower the dynamic compression(cylinder pressure)

cleaned the inside of the windshield. Half a newspaper page and Windex, done.

Also got the right side kick panel replacement. Time to cut and learn how to weld when it cools off a bit more. The kick panel vent was not installed at all last year so my right knee paid the price when it was really cold.

Today I found the voltmeter wasn’t working, so I just pressed the clips into the circuit board a little harder and it came right back. Then I took a morning cruise to the marina.

A good friend of mine buffed out the 47 year old paint on the cab. Matches the bed better then I thought it would. Having the doors and tailgate lettered up next .

Test fitted the 20s before I mount 285/60s Goodyear wrangler on them. I should have enough clearance, right?

Pulled the full floating axles today to inspect the brakes. Less than 1/16” left on the riveted shoes. Fairly sure drums are original so a clean up cut might be enough.
Both wheel cylinders are leaking & everything is a sticky mess. All that is except for the black widow that was calling the right side home.

Installed this heater hose valve to try and keep as much heat out of the cab . It’s been hotter than a Stihl chainsaw in a Kansas City pawn shop so everything helps . Been running it in 100f plus temps so we’ll see .

Not discounting what you've done just giving a simple option to others. If you put a ball valve across the heater hose inlet and outlet. When the valve us open water takes the path of least resistance and it acts as a bypass. When the ball valve is closed the water has no option other than to go through the heater core.

Replaced the radiator and lower hose. Cleaned all the mice/rats nests out of cab/engine/frame and scrubbed/disinfected EVERYTHING(smells great now). Replaced/repaired chewed wiring for fuel gage on both fuel tanks, Oil pressure gage and stereo. Repaired AC/heat flapper door cable. Replaced fuel tank selector switch. Mounted Flags and washed/waxed twice (sitting in an open field for a year ain't for sissy trucks). Gonna run it in the Ramona Cruise Nite tomorrow night then back to the field where we store it until we can get to a place with room to park it and keep it with us.
