sanded large areas on the door with DA and primed. Also created some wall art. I used magnets to hold it to the corner....and I though the can was aluminum lol. Also received shift indicator today from ebay.

Wasn't really planning on doing this today but, I Sanded the Rusty parts on the hood. It came off fairly quickly. So I did another one and another one until I had done half the hood. Lol

So I checked and only had about a third of a can of primer so I stopped and sprayed the bare metal so in won't rust.

Almost ready to start.. After Valve adjust, new side cover seals, rebuilt carb, new plugs (broke the old ones?), some paint and cleaning, removing a bunch of emission stuff.

Update. Runs great. Valves are quiet, carb is perfect, No emissions left, no leaks.

Couldnt stand the hole in the dash bezel where the oe radio was hacked out (head unit now in console). Holes all over dash from a ****** ass billet overlay that didnt use factory holes to mount.

Found a guy parting an '88 Burb with a clean bezel and factory upgrade stereo. I know, not exact year, but for $50 and some minor grinding it will look like it is.

Hole in dash needs some metal removed to make room for the larger stereo. Otherwise its a straight swap. My intentions are 1) not have a huge hole in my dash, 2) close to factory asthetics, 3) who wants to steal of ****** radio, thus maybe reducing the likelyhood of a break in.

Just picked it up today, will have pics up in a few days.

Otherwise last thing I did was install (3 screws :rockit: ) the distributor cover on my motor.
Hey man- * I may have my original dash from my 84/k5 Blazer if that helps you-
Bob

Apparently some crackheads tried to steal my truck last night. This was the only real damage. Maybe they thought it was a KIA.

I'm gonna hit up LMC for replacement. If anybody knows the specific part name for this, would be appreciated....

I took it on its maiden voyage since I started the restoration. I still have a long way to go but made me feel a little inspired to keep going.

It's not in my budget at all, but I'm really curious what a restored pair goes for. I know it ain't cheap. You can PM me if you would rather.
