Found A pair of Custom||10 fender badges, so I can restore mine or should I say play with the originals?
Here's the OEM, as you can see there is a part number on the back, do a search and Classic Ind. has them is stock!
Mine look good but I want to change up a bit. the yellow inner portion of the numbers is going Fairway green! If I mess it up these originals get cleaned up and installed!

Okey doke, no problem. Everything off that one fender, or both? And is that an acceptable year?
Just that one fender. I am no expert on the yearly changes, but looking at the pic I can make that work. The truck is not going to be a trailer queen when finished or judged. I just want to get the factory stuff re installed the best I can.

Got the front clip all unbolted yesterday in preparation for its squircle conversion, and scored an oem 73 gmc grille on ebay in acceptable condition for the end goal of the truck.

Just need the core support to arrive... then buy lights, bezels, and year appropriate hood latch goodies.

AAAAH! getting close!

Those lenticular clouds formed over the tops of mountains like that are a sure sign that it is some nasty mountain wave wind patterns happening up there. It's one of the major signs pilots use to know to stay the heck away from the mountains. You'll get wild 5,000-10,000+ fpm downdrafts on the leeward side of the mountain as well as some wild turbulence sometimes. The downdrafts are a killer though as even at a max throttle climb it will slam the plane right into the ground.

We get them forming quite a bit over Mt Hood and Mt Rainier on windy days.

Put the dash back together as I had to do more instrument cluster bulb work.

New parts on order, so if this does not hold backup is on the way!

On my phone, so not sure how to put text between photos.

So :

The carton pic is my dash screw memory aid. :anitoof:

Then the amazing radio mount - ugh.

Getting pretty good at getting it apart.

Then the fix.

Then, look Ma, it works!

New spark plugs and wires, new oil and filter, and finally adjusted the valves. All but 3 were sloppy. It was interesting how much old gasket material was in the area around the oil drains. I was going to replace the valve cover (250 straight 6) but for the life of me I couldn't find an 11 bolt valve cover anywhere online. Guess I'll go with RTV instead of a Fel Pro.
