Passenger side drum lookie loo - before the brake clean.

Still kind of ugly, but more use should clean that up.

Removed the cobbled crossmember that the po had put on the truck and replaced with proper one. Also put in a front driveshaft that I just picked up because it did not come with one.

Finally after 2 years i was able to get my rig to my hometown car cruise on main for the first time! It was a blast and there were some decent squares there too! Me and my brother went as a pair, as per usual.

Good lookin' trucks. Interesting idea painting the wheels to match the body color.

And then i got some work done on the Jimmy, i prepped and primed the front and the bumper brackets, headlight buckets and rad support pillar. Smart thing to do before i put this all back together here pretty soon. waiting on the rad support mount rubbers, hopefully i can get away with just replacing those instead of all the trucks without it throwing off the whole trucks geometry.

Interesting. Is it basically plug n play? How much more stopping power do you figure? And why hydro vs vacuum?

Not exactly. I had removed the vacuum booster when I got the truck and installed a hydraboost that I got out of a 1979 K30. It was working for the first year or so and started leaking. A drip at first then it got to the point where I was filling the reservoir every day, lol. I tried rebuilding it at one point and it helped for a while but there are some parts that aren't replaceable.

The hydraboost unit itself is smaller and provides more room in the engine bay. I think it has a better pedal feel as well.

I'm going to do a write up in my build thread. It was "fun" to say the least. Or maybe I should make an informative hydraboost thread. We'll see.

Havent done anything to it but i did start buying what shes needs to see the road again. I got these due to their gerth These are thick and heavy! Got both floor supports, both inner rockers but passed on the outter rockers as he only had one. I didnt want to buy one heavy one and end up with one chinsey thin one. The lower fender patches and cold refreshment were a gift from @Turbo4whl , thanks so much wayne!!! So if any of you guys know where i can get heavy grade rockers please let me know. I had thoughts of buying this bed that matched my truck also until the guy told me $1800! :nono::Nonono:

Where did you get patch panels that thick? I need some floor supports inner and outer rockers and cab corners. I’d rather get thick stuff if that’s snootily.
