God Bless Texas! Went to remove my front sway bar and bushings, etc for a refurbishment, heard tall tales and dark horrors of removing the bushing bolts: torching them out, breaking, drilling.

They came out just fine.

Boy do i love southern trucks.

MAJOR UPDATE AS WELL: Jimmy has been moved to the garage in which the wiring remodel and first start up will be done! Hoorah!!

Well it’s been a while I’ve been busy as hell; but managed to get some done to the ole girl. New shoes,(33/12.5/15) set me back a good bit but it needed them bad. Finally got it painted! Satin olive and my wife suggests black trim.

Weird, I'm only 3 years older than you!! There was plenty of white letters when I was in HS and in college! I never got into the Bro stage and painted everything black or had black rims and all black tires. Still put white letters out on everything I have. Wife won't let me on her Sequoia though!!

I got the swaybar bushings replaced yesterday. I'm in the process of replacing the carpet and seat reupholstered. The carpet is installed but waiting on the seat.

It’s ok, better than nothing. The cupholders aren’t good for anything more than cans. But I take corners too fast for a bench seat, I needed something to lean on [emoji23] The Snowden one in the floor is better for actual cupholders

Tore apart the front suspension to swap springs. When I bought the truck last year, I rebuilt all the suspension and steering cuz it was worn out. The truck had 2.5” McGauphys spindles with stock springs with 1 coil cut and a flip kit. I swapped in big block c20 springs with 1 coil cut, added Belltech SPs and it rode much better.

Fast forward to the LS swap being done, it now rides like **** cuz the LS is about 150lbs lighter up front and also the nose came up about an inch from where it was. I could feel every little crevice and pebble on the road. So I swapped the small block springs back in and also trimmed the passenger side to help offset the lean from the tank/battery/me being on the left. It rides so much better now, much smoother. Need to pop the passenger spring back out and trim another 1/4 coil or so cuz it’s still ~1/2” higher on that side but it’s much better.

"What have you done to your square lately?"

Took it out on a wood cutting excursion Friday. Got limited by the daylight, was basically dark by the time I loaded the second tree.
