Tapped out the oil pan and got a new plug in it, finished the fresh oil change with some good ol Pennzoil and a shiny red Baldwin. She's happy it's spring

Drove her to the gas station for beer, but....
Upon returning home I noticed my neighbor was out working on his square. Ever since we moved in in 2019 I’ve loved it. He’s retired from the Air Force, early 70’s, cool dude. He bought his truck brand new off the lot in 1987, Silverado 4wheel
Drive 1/2 ton, factory bed cap AC the whole 9 yards. thing is so sweet. So I wander over and we’re diagnosing why it won’t fire up (bad fuel pump is what we came up with) and he goes...wanna buy it? I was speechless for a second as the gears turned in my head of how I could convince my wife of it and when he told me what he would take, given the condition and it’s only got 145k on it. WishI could swing it. If anyone is in or around upstate SC send me a message as I told him I might know someone who’d want it. The front fender is where he hit a deer this winter. But she’s still a beaut and sounds so good.

I was driving home and this guy pulled out in the intersection when I was going about 50. Had to slam on the brakes. When I did I felt the rear cylinders go in the pedal. Limped it home 12 miles.

So I wanted to see if the rear was getting fluid on the square so pushed the brakes. It's that simple. Lol
You can do it but when you let off they will suck even more air than you have now into the line. Also it will push a ton of fluid out. If MC is low it will possibly suck air.

Took the old step bumper off and installed this new one. I never did like the looks of a step bumper!

Man unlike the step bumpers better than those. Way easier to climb into the back or dafter to step up on to get stuff out of the back. I really love the step bumpers with the dealers name welded or cut into them.

Wanting to build a ratty hotrod c10,
My 502, holley efi, and th400 with a strong 10 bolt rear i build with a tru trac, or duragrip and yukon oversized shafts.

Eyeing the 73-78 trucks


Currently have an offer out there for a 77 c10 with a i6 and i asume, th350.


(If i get it, free i6, you pay shipping)
So you stopped the k5ton build or your tearing it apart to sell off parts?

Man, it is, had been repainted probably 15-20yrs ago. Customer who brought it in just turned 50 and his wife surprised him with it. Which is pretty fuxkin cool of her...I’m just glad my girl knows that if she was to bring a truck home it’s gonna be a 2wd, shortbed, big window truck
I'd make sure if I was getting what I wanted I'd make sure it was 4wd. And preferably not the 203 case. Preferably the 205, 3/4ton and big block. With manual trans

Would you rather buy a PRESTINE Square Body, already done, practically brand new.

OR

Buy a total POS Square Body and go through the process of restoration and making it your own.

......and why?

EDIT: okay there's no such thing as a "POS Square Body", we'll just go with "rough around the edges; needs a TON of work"

Honestly working on old stuff can be a pita, but I wouldn't want a prestine classic. I wouldn't wanna drive it, and I'd be worried about it being stolen all the time.

Honestly working on old stuff can be a pita, but I wouldn't want a prestine classic. I wouldn't wanna drive it, and I'd be worried about it being stolen all the time.

I had one once that was a super nice original truck. I traded it off because I was worried it was too nice for me and I'd just ruin it. At times I regret that decision, but I still think I made the right choice.

Ask me that when I get done with my project! I got to drive it in High school, broke a few things back then and can't wait to drive it again.
