I’m getting away from the aftermarket air cleaner assembly.Decided to go to factory assembly.Refurbished the housing and lid, filled holes.Have the plastic pieces.

My thinking is it will supply cooler air and the filter should be less prone to getting wet.

Thoughts?

With a name like Qbuff, I’d expect it to look good, lol.
But that looks awesome. I couldn’t tell exactly what you were doing on the passenger side pics, masked off to re-clear?
Whatever you’re doing on the drivers side looks better than a lot of “new” paint jobs!

I fixed my horn (thanks Mason), put 4 new chrome pieces on the grille, and put 2 new chrome locking knobs on my vent windows. The old ones were loose and made a lot of wind noise driving down the road. Crazy how much noise these things eliminated.
I have a 76 with Chrome on the Grill, do you know how they are attached? I want to remove them so I can paint the plastic and polish the chrome strips. I really do not want to pry them off and get them all bent up. Your help is appreciated! ! !

Drove her to the gas station for beer, but....
Upon returning home I noticed my neighbor was out working on his square. Ever since we moved in in 2019 I’ve loved it. He’s retired from the Air Force, early 70’s, cool dude. He bought his truck brand new off the lot in 1987, Silverado 4wheel
Drive 1/2 ton, factory bed cap AC the whole 9 yards. thing is so sweet. So I wander over and we’re diagnosing why it won’t fire up (bad fuel pump is what we came up with) and he goes...wanna buy it? I was speechless for a second as the gears turned in my head of how I could convince my wife of it and when he told me what he would take, given the condition and it’s only got 145k on it. WishI could swing it. If anyone is in or around upstate SC send me a message as I told him I might know someone who’d want it. The front fender is where he hit a deer this winter. But she’s still a beaut and sounds so good.

Finally got something done , after the 2 months of rain ended . Redone my 2nd radiator support. Got my first fender sprayed and installed. Paint one section at a time , then water sand entire truck cab. Re spray it all . Getting cab rite first , bed last ...

Funny - that inner picture of that fender makes it look like there is hardly a slope to it at all.

Just something that caught my eye.

Nice work !

Coke would agree. You need to be less white.
Bud, I’m from Atlanta mf’ing Georgia. Even if I gave two flying ***** about what Tucker Carlson or Dan Bungbino is pretending to be mad about, you think I’d find any self respecting establishment here selling Pepsi, yet alone drink a Pepsi ? Lol

Not my truck but I did just rebuild and seal up, install a new power steering pump, got the factory tach wired and working with an oem harness, put a new master cylinder on it, and got the hydroboost working. Already did a full tune up on it, but still doesn’t run as good as it could. Tomorrow I’ll be dropping a new carb in there, wiring the fuel gauge, and getting a new sending unit into the auxiliary gas tank...pretty burly 78 C-30 with a 502 in there
