noticed the oil pressure get down to 45 on the interstate. It was time for an oil change so I added 6 oz of seafoam to the oil and drove it for a few days. It must have needed it because I didn't have as much power as it should on the 3rd day. Changed the oil and drove it, wow what a difference...power was back. Guessing the oil filter was clogged.
Anyway, after the oil change, I noticed with the key on and engine off, the oil pressure gauge was reading 30. I thought great....was I only running at 15 before all this? Looks like I'll be swapping the sender. Because it's so close to the firewall, I have to take the intake off. Now's the perfect time to relocate the sender to the oil block off plate above the oil filter. Ordered one of these today. If the pressure gets that low again, I think I'll be needing an oil pump.
