No biggie- you just left your Spy Hunter oil slick switch on.

All good. :D

Leaking pinion seal, I assume. Wonder what a chop would charge, or if that non crush sleeve deal is an option.

Yeah that's a CUCV brush guard I got on craigslist a long time ago, and I just don't really like it on the truck, it makes it look lower. Plus the truck it came off at the junkyard was poorly painted and half of the air dam is covered in blue overspray
You don't like the brush guard or the air dam?
I've been wondering what mine would look like with that brush guard for a while now. Does it mount with the original bolts or did it require longer bolts?

No evidence of a leak prior to the install? That is truly bad luck, but you got a great deal on that limited slip differential right? Get the crush sleeve eliminator and a new seal. Still way ahead $$$ in the long run.

Got the hoist today and ready to get BBC to the shop early next week.

When I lift it, would it hurt to hook on to one of the flywheel holes? Or no way.

Got the 350 torn down today. Everything looks scarily in great shape. All journals, bearings, and surfaces. Now for some much needed and deserved S&S (suds and smoke)! P.S. My Chinesium puller made the grade!

Got the tranny doc to do the 1 week checkup- all is well. :waytogo:

Have a little rough idle, so I changed some vacuum lines- mainly because tranny doc thinks that squeal I hear only while in reverse may be a vacuum leak.

Old tranny did it, too.

Also snugged the carb mounting bolts down a hair - just in case.

Anyone know of a vacuum circuit on a TH350C (besides the modulator) that is activated only in reverse?

I will change some more out tomorrow- can't hurt.

I also pulled number 8 - some deposits, but looks cleaner than it has in the past.

Maybe the EGR and EFE working are keeping the back 2 cleaner now.

Who knows.

Bought these for my 79. Had been watching them on ebay for a while and the seller sent an offer for 50% off I jumped on it.
