My commute is just over a mile so it never gets warm enough to run like it does during summer months.

When you get to work, run the motor until the oil heats up completely.

Short, short trips are murder on motors.

Anyone want some sludge??

That's why I try to extend it out to about 2 miles. Even 2 miles is short. By the time I get to work it's running pretty warm, as the heater blows hot. I guess I've been lucky, anytime I've had to open up my engines they have been clean. It may help that I run MMO through them once or twice a year for about a week before an oil change. I've also changed the oil, added MMO, ran it a week and changed it, and wow was the oil dirty.

Got my rally wheels tapped for the centers, thanks to @Snoots for the tap. Messed with my parking break some, still no go. Cable is right and pedal is right, but the brake just isn’t holding.

Too busy getting nothing accomplished to take pictures.

I will definitely take some pictures of me getting frustrated with everything I touch.

Mounted some old backup lights I had laying around. I haven’t hooked them up yet, not sure if I want to splice them into the factory wires or run a separate switch. I’d rather have them on a switch because of the flexibility, but that means having another relay and switch to wire in.

Edit: Went out to the shop and did some digging. Found the leftover wiring from my kit for my bumper lights. It’s long enough to run to the rear of the truck. Also found a relay in my wife’s console, not sure why but there it was. And found a good place for the switch in the cab. So that’s the route I’ll be going since I have everything I need except a toggle switch.

Replaced my front shocks!! wOW what a difference. The old ones barely unsprung when I pushed them in. The driver one took maybe 5 mins to come back out after pushing it in. I got some close out Gabriel brand (private label it looks like) closeout shocks for a 4" lift from Rock Auto. The ones on it were on there 15 years ago when I bought it. No idea how long they were on it before. But they were SHOT. It rides so much better. Doesn't throw you around so much on the bumps and stops it's motion like it should after a bump. Wish I would of replaced those a decade ago. Probably won't bottom out as much either like the old ones sounded like they did on a hike when off-road. I need to replace my rears now after the difference these made.

Tried to adjust headlights. Adjustment screws do nothing.

Brand new headlight has burned out low beam.

Now my brake warning light is on, even with ignition off.

All of my vertical adjustments are stripped out, they’re pretty reasonable on amazon, I need to replace all of them

Last fill up with EFE valve actuator capped off.

Still some WOT clatter- from my reading I am thinking EGR and will have to trouble shoot.

This is highway mainly at 65 ish - cool enough to run vent only, windows up - AKA "Economy ".:p

Still - not bad for a brick.

Note that I multiply the mileage by 1.124 to compensate for the 33 inch tires.
