Only the finest from Rust-Oleum. Gloss Chestnut is a perfect match for 1976 saddle color. Wipe down with some denatured or isopropyl alcohol. That's what I used on the door panels and the old dash pad cover, other than the door panels falling apart because they are turning to chalk, the paint has held up wonderfully.

Got it rewired, and back up and running today. Gotta get the dash back together, and rewire the alternator.


Okay so I laid on the porch, and my brother did the work, but I yelled, pointed, and grunted.

Smiled when it fired up off the key.

Truck lived in Washington state for all of its life until now, so all the rubber/interior parts are in really nice shape for the age

Took it on the farthest highway trip yet since I’ve had it back on the road. I went to the Fuel,Cleveland bike show on the east side of Cleveland. I was worried I wouldn’t have wheels when I got back to the truck [emoji23]

Oh and the other night I pulled my wife’s camper up to the county fairgrounds for the first time with this truck.

I fixed all the wiring issues that caused my "tiny" fire(78C10BigTen). Lol

I finished yesterday, figured a 30 mile trip one way was a good test. Went perfect both ways.

The nap in the pool was totally worth the risk.
