All doors now have new seals that go around the door opening.

Check out this old vs new pic

Just dropped it off for tint and will have it back this afternoon.

Next up is finishing up the headliner, get that installed and continue with doing bodywork related activities

Paint soon??
Probably about a year out. Will probably have the bodywork mostly complete this fall but by the will be too cold to paint I’m guessing so realistically will probably be next spring or early summer

Started working on the tail lights, I got some slots cut between each end where I used a 2.5” hole-saw for the grommet holes unfortunately someone in my shop borrowed my 2.5” brand new hole saw and burnt it up and was nice enough to put it back without telling me [emoji35] so I was only able to use it to basically scratch the surface so I can then cut out the ends with my plasma cutter [emoji2357] hoping to have them in tomorrow sometime, not sure if I’ll have them wired in yet or not.

I know your pain. I worked at a shady shop back in 08 when jobs were scarce. Didn't have any other option. My tools grew legs, magically got greasy, and many other very unkind things. I ended up putting everything in my enclosed trailer, and just towing it to and from every day. Drastic I know, but I needed the job. I believe in putting it back exactly as it was borrowed, and replacing if necessary.

Well, I fixed my door locks, but I've torn even more stuff out of my truck.
Hopefully I can piece it all back together.
I'm trying like hell to get stuff done today, but pretty slow going.
I put a coat of brown paint on the dash pad. It's Rust-Oleum for plastic. We'll see.
It's still wet in the pic.

I also had a tire leaking air badly from the bead. Turns out the PO put it on a rusty rally that was probably sitting outside.
The good (matching) rally had an off size tire on it, so I went to Walmart and got them swapped for $10. That's a relief.

Then I attempted to degrease the engine.
Purple power and a small pressure washer.
Risky business, I know. I tried to be careful.
It made a huuuuuge difference, though.
I should have taken a before pic because it was covered in ****, and the hood had about a half inch of caked on dust and dirt.

I gave the old girl a nose job and a face lift today...still a work in progress though. Lots of chrome polish and steel wool.

Mounted my spare tire in the bed and changed the oil.
What do you think of the tire hold down?

I may not take the jack but it isn’t going anywhere if I do.

Seat cover from LMC.
Dash pad from Cheyenne Pickup Parts.
New door seals.
Noico sound deadening on floor and rear cab panel.
Bonded Logic heat insulation on top of sound deadening.
Super quiet inside now!

Still have to install sound deadening on doors.
