Same valve covers. Just stripped and repainted the valleys.
Also same air cleaner. New aluminum top I painted and added the mesh.

I got that same lid. Absolutetly love it! Mine is going in to get its long tubes installed next week. :headbang:

I like those valve covers

Thanks, billet specialities has become my new go to for go fast and look good bits. That is who made my covers, breather, pcv and the fantastic o-ringed thermostat housing.

Also a newer addition to my k20 is new diff covers and guards front and rear.

Tried to continue welding floor patch in. Tried is the keyword.

Punched three new holes in OEM floor. before I

Using a HF internal flux welder. Flux weld is a bitch to grind down.

Quit before I made things worse.

Went back to honeydo's.

PS I really suck at welding. On my fifth spool of wire.
Man, I hear you. I bought a HF welder a long time ago that was a complete piece of ****.
I really didn't have anything to compare it to, though, except for a bigger 230v Hobart 'Iron Man' that I had at work (I'm not a welder), so I thought maybe 120V home welders just sucked? I fought with that HF special for way too long, and I finally called them on it. They refunded my money and told me to junk it. So I did.
Then I went and bought a reconditioned Hobart Handler 140. I'm really glad I made that decision because it's an amazing little welder and infinitely better than that POS HF one. (Maybe new HF ones are better, I don't know?).
But seriously, it was night and day different. I actually enjoy welding stuff now.
I will say, though, that if you have access to argon, I would certainly recommend using it. It's much cleaner and easier using real shielding gas, especially on sheet metal.
When I first got this welder, I borrowed a gas bottle from work and pretty much welded an entire Toyota pickup back together with it. lol...
I can completely understand not wanting to invest in a bottle and get it filled, though.
As others have said, Lincoln seems to make great little welders, too. I'm sure they're just as good (if not better) than Hobart/Miller, I just don't have much experience with them (we have a Miller and Hobart where I work, which are basically the same. My Hobart even came with a Miller gun).

No idea the CCA, but the battery in Goldie is a Rural King - never heard of that brand before .

Must be a regional thang.

There's a couple in Kentucky too. I like to think of them as a better tractor supply. Haha

We have them in Ohio too. Far better selection than Tractor Supply. They are the best farm store in the area, but not as good as some found in the Midwest. However, a lot of their stuff is bargain priced and they even have their own line of small tractors.

Fought With this free 14 bolt FF I got from my dad. It sat outside at our farm for probably 20 years or more [emoji51]. Can’t get anything to spin, surprisingly the oil inside wasn’t discussion except for some rusty sediment from moisture over time. Diff will rock back and forth but the drums must be seized. I was whacking them for a while with a sledge hammer and various pry bars in the carrier and shock mounts to try and bust it free but no luck tonight.

Tuesday I dropped my engine in and got all my bellhousing bolts started. Went to put in flywheel bolts tonight and I realized I put the flywheel on backwards out came the engine again! Fail.

I'm just doing things. Taking this plow mount off.
I'm a pretty safety conscious person, but this probably should have been a 2 man operation.
I was really strategic with the bolt removal, though, so that should count for something, right?

And btw, this is my first time trying my new HF Earthquake stubby impact.
I have to say......it kicks some ass.
I don't think there's anything on this truck it won't spin off in a hurry.
