Painted the stock wheels. Removed the charcoal canister and other useless emissions garbage.

I need to paint my wheels on the C20 too. Makes a hell of a difference with a good clean white paintjob and the OEM hub caps.

Took out the bench seat and pull the rubber mat and all the old, nasty insulation out. Vacuumed up years of dirt and dog hair.

Careful there buddy. You didn't get the memo? That's the stuff that holds these squares together.

In the past month I bought a used high top bed cap, new rear tires, got a spare wheel/tire, built a better hillbilly tailgate solution than my first design, and built a sleeping platform in the bed of the '85. I will be living out of it from late May to mid August while travelling the country this summer.

The new tailgate setup and topper. The bed is totally rusted away where the tailgate hinges go so massive reconstruction would be required to repair it properly. Yes that is spray foam insulation oozing between the bed floor and rear door. This bed is essentially junk due to rot anyway so at this point I don't feel bad about such crappy repairs. I also made a new rear bed floor cross-member out of 2x4's because the original is MIA courtesy of the 6 month long road salted winters in NH.

An interior view of the setup. I have a 4" thick foam pad that I will put on top of the platform.

The front 2/3rd's of the platform lifts up for easier access to things underneath.

I finally decided to get the Baja wheels after the sales rep from 4wo|american racing rims gave me a good price. I chose the polished finish. Will upload pics once they are installed.

We just changed the drag link out today. We started on replacing body mount bushings. We got the two on the core support changed and got one bolt out in the back of the cab before stopping for the night.

Bought an early 80's camaro gauge cluster with a tach to use the tach in my truck. Will buy another square body cluster to modify and keep my original stock.

I'm down in Georgia visiting my parents so I had to hit the junkyard.
