I rewired the dump bed. It had stopped working last fall but would make noise as if it was a hydraulic problem. I was thinking it needed a rebuild but after wrestling with it for 2 hours I was able to wrap a new wire around one of the posts and like magic it went up. Then it was a lot easier to splice in some new wires and while I was at it I put new straps on the gas tank on the passenger side. That was still a bitch but the rear bolts were easy to get to. Fixed the exhaust so it doesn't rub any more and she sounds bad ass. 3 inch flow masters that exit to the side behind the cab.

I also installed a new ps bracket that ended up being a project and a half but she runs like a raped ape. Now I just have to do my mulch and help out a couple friends who found out I have a dump truck.

Holy Green Tint Batman !!! Those covers are pretty damn durable if you can get them tightened up. But they are rough. You don't want to be sunburned and going shirtless on one of those.

actually they are blue I guess the sunlight messed with the camera shot

Tried Frank's tachs today...The one he got doesn't work but the older one I got him works perfect. I might take the circuit board from the old one and put it in the newer face so we can install that tach cluster in his '88.

Me too. Go with neoprene and weatherstrip adhesive aka Yellow Gorilla Snot.

Some cork gaskets are nice. MR Gasket makes some valve cover gaskets that are cork with some kind of rubberized coating, I love those things. They seal great and I've reused them before too.

still chugging along...

I got the radiator core support media blasted, so its ready for epoxy primer and reassembly. Mocked up my new aluminum radiator and tranny cooler. I've also been cleaning up a lot of the wiring in the engine bay. Rerouting wires and what not. Rewired and hooked up new starter, installed Bowtie Overdrives 700R4 TV cable and bracket for my new Eddy 1406 600cfm, I added a 1" spacer also. All new brake lines, tranny cooler lines and fuel line. Tonight I am installing new blower motor and heater core, then I can put on the new heater hoses. Will report back with more later...
