There is no such thing as too much cooling for an automatic transmission. If you already have it, and are installing the new radiator/fans install it. That's what I would do. May want to install a transmission temperature gauge as well. Easy for me to spend your time and money though!
A fan for the tranny cooler isn't ****. I will see about throwing one in the cart!

Picked up a 3 core aluminum with e fan special from Amazon. Reviews were positive so I will take the gamble. If it holds water and doesn't explode we will be in good shape.

Can't wait to see how it fits. I like buying **** off Amazon. Gets there quick at a good price and it's easy to return if something is wrong or broke. I just returned the wrong rear brake shoes I'd got a couple of weeks ago. Walk in, walk out the ups store.

Been looking at this one for the BB.

I used alligator clips and tested my door wiring....made a stand so they could stand upright outta an old pallet and some HD pipe hangin brackets. and used wires with alligator clips and a spare battery....

Thanks, that's what I did today. Couldn't find gator clips at work to make larger gauge jumpers, got lucky and found my heavier gauge jumpers today at the house.

Anyway, drivers side motor turns but no movement on the window and the drivers side door lock actuator doesn't work (has power). All new switches, big electrical connector on drivers side, and relay.

The doors need new seals and all as well.

....and now the fun begins lol.

That is the one I got but the 3 core one without the temp sensor bc it was cheaper to buy the rad and fan separate from the sensor.

This is the one I snatched up for $265 2 days ago. Now it went up to that price... Dammit man

The guys got the th350 in last night in the k5, followed my directions i wrote on paper to wet all the clutches by holding each position on the shifter for 30 sec

Once they got her filled up, and ok to go, they said the mf was so strong it was overpowering the tired brakes on the k5. Lol

Back to nice firm shifting with a stout reverse again !

Lets see how it fares on the trails this weekend......

This swap cost me only about $90 including a new clutch and the transmission.

I'm keeping the old shifter on there for now just to confuse people.

Just tell people that you added the 4 speed onto the back of the 3 speed so now you have a 12 speed like the old corvette 4+3 :happy175:

I mean it is April 1st...

Your forgetting about the 7 reverse gears I'd have.

Currently have the rear axles pulled on the '88 Jimmy, i need to push a rod/rag through to get all the crap out (there's a lot). Have the driver side brake shoes replaced (brake cylinders too), need to do passenger, then install the new bearings and seals, the axles and the rear diff cover/fluid. Living in PA and working on this Texas truck, it is a dream i'll tell ya

Did my first rear main seal and pilot bearing on the M30 engine today. Love learning something new.

Also drained and installed the new rad for the LS swap. Tried to do something that lets me still drive around if needed. Doesnt sit well in the core support, and I need to figure out a good way to keep it strapped down. Might make something if I can find some spare metal.

Also decided to clean my grounds to see if thatll fix my cluster. Gas non-op, voltage is more of a RPM gauge atm and oil is dead.

EDIT: SUCCESS! I got one fixed. Now to figure out why my gas gauge doesnt work cuz thats the most important one!
