Damn, now I'm definitely sold on them... Looks like I need to get the old ones painted and listed up for sale so I can get these ordered. I have the bungs already, I guess I can get them welded into the header buddies and then I can clock them into the exhaust wherever they fit best angle wise.

Well, I went out fired it up and pushed the brakes little bit and no constant his. So I pumped them a few times. Then jacked up the other rear wheel. Noticed you couldn't rock the tire back and forth.

So now the rear brakes are sticking. Fired it back up and out it in Rev and they didn't spin had give it some gas and they would but, stopped when I let off. Thought it was dragging a little when I drove it too.

What causes that. Is there an adjustment I can make?

tax refund in. $120 CAPA (each) front fenders on order from local guy on craigslist (saves shipping costs). The hood and/or hinges may be next as the front is sitting high. We'll get the fenders on and see what we can figure out on the hood (fiberglass currently). lol damn thing flops in the wind so much I keep waiting for it to pop up at 85 MPH.

I started bleeding the breaks at the rear pass. Doing this I think I've discovered the problem. I think it's the Brake booster.
I replaced my master and rear cylinders on my truck and a brake hose.It was a lot like yours.I bled those brakes till I wanted to burn them down. Lol But it was only air in the system
Listen. The pedal pushes easy until the last inch. Then I start to have brake. And the pedal doesn't return up very well. It also hisses when pushing it down while it's running.

There was no air in the line. Am I wrong in my thinking?

I had a similar problem with an old car of mine and that fixed it.

The drum was a bitch to get off. Opened the bleed valve to let some fluid out and maybe collapse the brakes little. Still had to wrestle it but, it's off. The shoes are hardly even worn. Just really smooth.

Got the keys cut at a semi local hardware store.
The second Wally world that said no told me that their fancy dancy machine would not read my blanks.

This hardware store had the old fashioned key cutter.

Lookit - aftermarket GM Kwality!

:p

( I am using the upside down door key.)

Finally got it looking half decent from about 30 feet! Little man helped me out. Primed it all, almost ready for my budget paint job. Getting rhino liner off....such a pain. Think twice before applying it.

As promised a follow up for the fellas interested. I got out this morning and kicked ass. Headers in about 7 hours total, Changing oil and cutting out old exhaust included. They fit perfect. Cleared the head bolts and starter, kind of tight near the oil filter, but no worse than the ****** manifolds. No issue clearing the frame or shift linkages. Badass for $271 if I do say so myself. Won't know anything beyond fit for a couple weeks. Waiting on valve covers gaskets to fix an oil leak, new starter, 45 degree plug wires, exhaust pipes, and mufflers.
