Yesterday I got my secondary throttle plates unstuck. They were stuck close, not sure how long though. Still haven't driven it since I did that.
That should of been first thing . let that freedom ring ! And piss off the neighbors . I did just that after dropping motor in. Maybe thats why the HOA always gives me **** ...........

I installed the new Trans filter, deep pan and pan gasket. Made a nice mess being my oil drain pan wasn't big enough to catch all the atf . Lol

Went to fill it and noticed that the atf was clear and not red. So I messaged Vince and he showed me the right atf to use. Thanks Bud!

It's been 20 something years since I've bought atf and the last time was a th350 on my 70 Chevelle lol

I'm gonna drain the bit I poured in before I noticed it was the wrong one. It was kinda dark but, at least I caught it. Not bad for having a couple beers in ya. :party52:

I actually got a heart attack... at 22.. its related to some poor choices, exhaustion, and extreme emotional distress.

Im fine now, but I really wish I could take back the last couple months, but the future is forward or some other good feel thing

Its funny you say that. Just the other day when I was working on it they rolled through the neighborhood on their golfcarts looking for violations when they saw me and told me project vehicles like mine could be in driveway during the day but at night needed to be in garage i asked them why I had to park mine in the garage when no other cars had to and they said " well you just started on this truck . it probably doesn't run and it hasn't been painted. My reply " that truck runs and drives and is probably more reliable than your foreign p.o.s. " they got back in the golfcarts and drove away lmao.
Haha, that's so funny. I can't believe these people drive around looking for that crap! NO WAY I could live in a place like that.

Only reason we did was it was our first house. Got it for a steal and forces the neighborhood to maintain which makes the value go up so it was a great investment regardless of the headaches that came with it. As of now our house is worth double what we paid for it. Once I get back to work we will be putting it on the market as this area is growing . and will be buying land and building a house and a shop in the back so I have a place to do mechanic work and my woodworking

Well, I installed this timing set....

To degree in the cam.....and degree it, and degree it, and degree it again, and again, and again, and again, and again....holy ****, I lost count...could not get it right no matter where I set any of the 3 keyways on the bottom gear!!!

I then installed this new timing set with 9 lower gear keyways from Cloyes and FINALLY got my cam degreed!!!!! :favorites37:

THEN.....I finished off that night by celebrating with a few of these & some loud ass tunes to the end of the nearly two weeks of trying to degree this damned thing in right.....Cheers to the Square!

THE END

Thinking im gonna either purchase a yukon posi traction, or a detroit true trac unit for my truck. Ditch the factory G80 idea.

Adding to this, i will temporarily weld my spider gears to keep the POS together in the meantime.

Found the source of the whine. Appears the side clutches in my rear end have been demolished, causing excessive spider gear movement, thus whining.... Damnit.

The good news is you don’t have to pull the trans again :banghead:

Didn’t you just rebuild that rear end? What kind of posi unit is it?

The new AC Delco Dextron VI is clear and is backwards compatible with Dex III which was the fluid originally spec’d for that trans. It’s stupid expensive and synthetic, so I wouldn’t recommend for a square body TH350... but just because it’s clear, doesn’t mean it isn’t the right stuff.

Now, if it doesn’t say Dextron on the bottle, it is definitely not the right stuff

The manual trans with LSD in my 2005 Dodge SRT-4 took “ATF+4” with a special additive from the factory, so it is worth while to pay attention to what your specific application calls for.

Drove into work through some white ****. New tires did great, no slipping at all, passed alot of accidents on the way. People around here don't see much snow so when it falls its complete madness.

@AuroraGirl glad you're doing better. Lots of prayers sent your way.

I also was out in it the other day in mine on the ancient 35” BFG’s I got for $50... no issues at all. Then I took my Honda over the bridge to the west Salem Roth’s to get some growlers filled and not so much. Ancient tires on a tiny car with no ABS brought back memories of the good old days... and it got a little sporty there for a sec. at least we didn’t have the 13” snowpocolypse like there was in Portland a few years ago.

sorry to hear about your medical issues @AuroraGirl ... hope you start feeling better soon. I remember some less than stellar life choices in my 20’s too, life goes on and we hopefully live to learn from them. You thankfully got that chance, don’t waste it! We want to be able to give you a hard time on here for many years to come!
