Went out and bought new bolts for the transmission. Found out that the previous owner only put in two transmission bolts, and they weren't even tight.... So, I got that all patched up.

Took my hood off of the truck, put it on my buddies truck, and laid the 4 inch cowl on, gonna get the pins set up tomorrow. May also be removing my bed tomorrow and putting a new one on.

Got it smogged. Passed with flying colors. He told me if it was a half ton it would fail and be considered a gross polluter. His daughter was amazed it passed because it was running so dang rich, I didn't have time to get it good and warm and also had that pesky vortec head-GM vortec Q-jet intake-running badly while cold-thing going on.

Who makes that hood? Fiberglass or steel?

Its all fiberglass, I honestly think someone did it themselves. I couldn't really tell you though!

Oil and Filter change, tire rotation. Front brakes NEED replaced. Driver side inboard is almost, if not already down to the rivets or would be if they're not bonded pads. Will be on that right away.

Lucky dog! You would have been oh-so-screwed had that been tagged "gross polluter." Well played.

Man thats a nice color

Thanks, so far I have set the timing as the dist. was loose :Insane:, installed new LED license plate lights with 2 wire pig tail to prevent rust from breaking the connection. Disconnected the amplifier due to wires being strung through the hole of the connections, changed the oil.

Some may know the truck is new to me. I have in the past two weeks done the following.

1. Changed the oil
2. Replaced the front drag link
3. Drivers brake line and caliper
4. New inner and outer wheel bearings and seal
5. Washed it a half a dozen times ~ trying to get the black grime off the truck, its been sitting since 2009.
6. Replaced Fuel filter and fuel pump
7. Bought a seat cover

I would like to add, that without this forum I would probably still trying to get the front hub back together.

Near future gonna rebuild the carb and tear into the passenger side hub. Change oils in the driveline and figure why my radio shuts off randomly.

The truck isn't on the road waiting the title to clear from original owner. It's a family friend so no issues there.

Used the bed as a workbench to work on something else that runs, maybe soon I'll give it a good bath so it doesn't look so bad.
