I have some blocks I'm not going to use. Pay for the ride, you can have them. I can clean them up and powder coat them if you want.

I may have just made a little mistake but in my defense I had no way of knowing until I got started. I decided to change the spark plugs and I wanted to go back with the original, correct spark plug. I ordered a set of AC Delco CR43TS plugs, set the gaps to .035 and swapped them out.

But the plugs I removed are the E3 brand. I didn't realize exactly what I was looking at when I pulled the first one. I should probably have stopped right there. After the job was done I started it up to make sure everything was put back correctly and I could hear that it wasn't as crisp. My son noticed it too and told me "It sounds weaker. Why did you do that?"

Because I am an idiot I guess.

Any thoughts on these stupid E3 Plugs?

I have E3s in my 78. They were MAD expensive!! I really didnt notice a huge improvement though...

Everyone that uses E3 plugs swear by them. I have never ran them in a truck, but that's what I use in all of my lawn tools...I won't use anything else.

Starting to get hot here in Oregon finally, so I figured I should see why the AC isn’t working in either car again this year. Did the Honda commuter first and it had a leaking high side port valve, so it was just about 1 can low on R134. For some
reason on a full charge I only get about 55 degrees out of the vent, but it’s still way better than nothing.

After that I got to looking at the square. It was having an issue with the fan not blowing right and also the compressor not engaging. I fiddled around with the electrical and blower motor for a bit and finally got it to work right… not sure what combination of jiggling, disconnecting, testing, and reconnecting wires and components did it, but it blows now.

Then I checked the high pressure port and sure enough, it was leaking also. So I hooked up my gauges and saw I still had plenty of pressure in there so the clutch should have still been engaging. I had a replacement valve, so I drained the system and replaced the valve before putting more 134 in it. Compressor still wasn’t engaging so I jumped the pressure switch and the compressor immediately engaged and starting working right. Put three 12oz cans in before the pressures looked right and it was reading 40 degrees at the vents! Took it down to oreillys with the switch still jumpered and bought a new switch for $30. They sell one set up for the R134 pressures. It’s a Murray PN: 36674.

If you are interested in looking at those vent temps one of these days in the Honda if everything appears ok take a close look at the condenser. Enough bent fins or debris and they won't cool like they should. Obviously there's a bunch of other possibilities too but that's just something guys tend to over look.

Yeah, the condenser is a little dinged… but the compressor cycles from the freeze sensor while driving so I don’t think that is the issue. I’m thinking maybe the heater core shutoff valve is out of adjustment or busted, so it’s letting the heater core get hot even when the temp lever is set to full cold. It’s on my list of things to look at. But it also has had a blown head gasket for about 6 months or so and is still getting 28mpg around town. With 50ish degree vent temps it’s adequate for the temps we’ve been having lately, so I’ll probably get to it at some point.

Unfortunately she sits down a little in the rear. I HATE it! I will be fixing that when funds become available. It had a pieced together "lift" when I got it so I ordered a set of softride 2.5 inch lift springs from Skyjacker. Unfortunately they lifted it about 3.25 inches over stock which was what it had when I started. At least it rides better. I will get the rear lifted or else install a winch on the front to drop the nose. Something WILL change.

I like a little rake too, especially with squarebodys as the rear fender well height is lower than the front, so even level looks nose up.
That said, Your truck looks perfectly leveled, and bad ass. I'd drive it without a bag over my head any day!!

I like it too... Long before douche bags evolved a little rake into a full on squat or "stance" I lifted the front of my K10 SWB just under 1/2" more than the rear.

Cleaned up my lift springs...POR15 them and put a top coat...going to let them dry over night, than pop the bushings in them, and set them to the side until I need them...

Well, here's an update on my 700r4 from jegs. As yall might remember it came in last Monday. Opened it that Friday only to see they sent me a th350. Wtf!

Man I was pissed after waiting for 2 months to get the wrong one! Calmed down and called them on the 5th because of the holiday. She apologized and said they would make sure I got the right one this time but, it'll be the end of August before I could get it.

Sent her pictures and they picked it up last Friday. Found the sticker after getting the shrink wrap off it. I was gonna just send it back and get my money back but, I've had no luck finding a core around here thought I'd give them a chance to make it right. The wait has been so long tho.

Well a little bit got done today...Springs got the bushings put in them. Preparing to pull the body off the frame, dropped the fuel tank, and it had a few holes in it. Guess that would explain the bad gasoline smell. I have another Blazer fuel tank...not sure if it's good. I'll get it out and see.

Jeez, how do you accidentally ship a BOP TH350 instead of a GM 700R4?? The two month wait for each screwup is a double slap in the face. I had a buddy that had ordered a connect and cruise engine/trans combo through Jegs and after 5 months of jerking him around with shipping dates constantly being promised, then missed, then pushed out... he finally just ordered it direct from GM and had it in 2 weeks.
