Hello - I'm relatively new to GM trucks and could use some help figuring out what front axle this is. It's on a 1989 V3500 that came as a cab and chassis. Is this a GM axle or a Dana axle? Any help is much appreciated. It has 10 bolts on the cover.

The cover certainly looks like the one on my D60 from what I can tell.

Yours is a a Dana 44. Dana 60's have King pins and have 4 bolts on the steering arm like below. Look at the diagram in the area marked 3. It should say 44 on yours.
