I started the Burb to warm it up this morning then went back inside, slicked my and got dressed. I come back outside to discover that it quit.

I then noticed that the gas gauge really meant it when it said E, (you can usually get about 90 or so miles out of that 42 gallon tank after it says E) so I had to take 'Ol Yeller to work today, and was pleasantly surprised that the rear main seal leak has been significantly slowed by the real thick oil.

Also, you should see this brutal cold start I did on it in 20 degree temperatures.

I have to keep an eagle eye on my vehicles because they get parked in customer’s driveways. One of the neighborhoods I work in has a maintenance crew that periodically looks under your vehicle when parked along the road. I guess they charge you for cleaning it if it drips...not sure. I just saw on of them looking under the square back in the day and asked what they doing.
Oh boy, sorry for the following rant it had to be made

if that isnt big brother or the smell of a HOA I dont know what it is

Im sorry, I thought this was AMERICA and as a citizen I have the right to own a vehicle that is a complex mechanical device put together with gaskets of varying quality that leak due to design or age or wear and im not seeing where in the constitution it says anything about this, but here Ill show you the one where it says "suck my dick, get bent" right here in the 9th amendment, Oberleutnant, and if you need it translated to ***** let me show you my bumper sticker

and you can bill my repair to whoever made my or anyones car, its not my fault it leaks

My square leaks front diff, rear passenger wheel cylinder, evidently no oil at least that i can tell yet after 2 months, maybe just a peek at the valve cover on one side, radiator because it broke the nipple off for overflow, sometimes spills out. washer aint hooked up but it would leak. reservoir broken. my hydraulic cylinder for plow has a small leak on a hose, and the pump itself has a reservoir that slowly leaks from use. ive not noticed it leak since its been out of use for summer.

None. It's an Audi. No leaks and it's 11 years old. Must be the fault of ze german engineering. I have my Squares and my Impala for marking everywhere I've been :)
Give it time neoprene or nitrile seals and gaskets don't last forever.

They are good technology for sure, be nice if we just had never ever leaking seals. esp under these harsh conditions. imagine never having to hunt down an oil leak.

That neighborhood in particular the streets are privately owned by the people who live there. I’m allowed on their property to do work, so I accept it.

Honestly on the other hand, if I had a freshly poured concrete driveway and someone dripped oil all over it, I’d probably want them to clean it up too. Probably why all the concrete I have is sealed so I can easily wipe fluids up.

Oh i totally understand the want but i was thinking as far as society as a whole. if i in town leak oil on my driveway it should never ever be an issue unless it leaks onto the road or goes in the soil or someone slips in a puddle(real bad leak then lol) when walking the sidewalk. HOA are notorious for being anti-freedom and zoning laws and municipalities are always encroaching on those lines. the privately owned thing is strange, let them live in their VIP club, best place for them than my neighbor

They have privately owned streets, by the developer or community HOA so that they can control who is allowed in the neighborhood. Either by gates or just by the notice that you need to have business or property in there to be there or you can be asked to leave basically. Keeps who they don't want in there out.

Many years ago, we breifly lived in a subdivision. One day, my dad buys a camper and parks it right in front of our house.

Some ******** called the police the following day saying that there was an abandoned camper in front of our house.

It's not like it was a crappy looking camper that someone would abandon, besides, IT WAS STILL HOOKED TO THE BACK OF THE SUBURBAN!!!
