What other ECMs have the same hardware as used in a 1991 C3500 standard cab, into which I could swap the chips?

350, gmt400. That's my donor truck. Is there a way to test an ECM to verify it's good?

A standard 1227747 is most likely what it has.

Really, the only way is to get it started or find a vehicle that uses a 7747 and swap it out. 1987-1991 4.3, 5.0 and 5.7 trucks and vans used that ECM.
