Looks like to much rear overhang to me. IMO

i have a factory 81 2 wheel drive blazer i plan to put a sub roof with barn doors on.

the overhang behind the wheel is ugly if i do the blazer roof on a sub i will cut the blazer in half at the doors frame and all then put it on the sub.
that would center the wheel in the quarter panel and look better.

or how about the bobbed back sub with the blazer removable top

I think you'd have to lose the back doors to do that, so may as well just keep the Blazer a Blazer in that case.

Not if you cut and section the top to match your bob... It's only fiberglass, not that hard to work...

On closer look, the pic looks photochopped...

You can see a seam in the background image of the water/mud through the large window, and a slight seam on the quarter panel. Sorry to burst your bubble. :(

I noticed the trim didn't match and thought something was amiss. Didn't even zoom in to see the line through the window.

Hate to contribute to a dead thread, but if you search YouTube, you can find the build for this shorty suburban. It is real. More than anything, they were trying to shorten the huge rear overhang for crawling, it caught on too much.

Just an update for this conversation.

I have since chopped up a barn door burb and my 2wd blazer and put the burb roof and barn doors on my blazer.

I can't remember if I posted it on here or not

I have a K10 . I'm thinking about putting a Blazer cap on and make a longer looking Blazer. I would have a secure place to keep my stuff, out the mud , rain and crooks. It would also be a safe place to sleep overnight. I believe the Blazer cap is only 9" shorter than my K10 bed. I'll glass in that 9" and cut out the back of my cab. Reinforce it and paint. I'll definitely get some second looks. Maybe t a trend. WHAT Y'ALL THINK ??
