What are your favorite/ best looking valve covers for SBC?

For center bolt style I like the LT1 or TPI Corvette covers.

I don’t think they will clear fancy rockers but aside from that these are probably my favorite.

For perimeter bolt style I like the GM performance parts like these. I bought a set of these for my big block when I was in high school, they were close to $400 back in 1998.

I always liked the black covers with the red bowtie/Chevrolet on them, but were too much $ IMO. So got these because they matched the FI intake. Making my own hold downs as the ones that came with them look cheap.

I have the plain version of those but had the local cylinder head shop add a hole that fits a stock Chevy rubber oil fill plug.
I needed tall covers for the old Crane gold roller rockers.

When I saw the thread title I immediately thought of these and wished I had a pic of a motor I used them on some years ago. Kinda surprised they're still sold. Excellent valve covers, but don't forget the PCV baffle! . Never did like chrome.

Yup those Vette center bolts are what I want....but they're pricey since some are magnesium. Even the aluminum ones are expensive.....

Hi. New here. First reply :) These aren't the fanciest VC's out there and aren't much different than your standard cheap chrome-plated Edelbrocks but I put on Dart heads back in 2008 and bought these at the same time, then masked them off and painted them color-matched yellow to my truck. I still have yet to see another pair. This was taken right afterI finished them and have since re-done the fuel line.

I always wanted a set of these when they came out.
Then I found them in the junkyard attached to a small block equipped Jaguar.
Now I have a set that just needs a bit of a cleaning...

Have the same ones on my 77 k10 350cid.I put a slim funnel thru the pvc hole to put the oil in.Easy peasy.Goes in faster than putting it thru the hole with the splash vent in it

Go cast or billet aluminum. No stamped stuff. I like my Holley muscle series, the finish has lasted really well. 5 years I think now.

Those look like the later LT1 ones, the Vette has in the late 70s-early 80s.

Quick to scoop up these aluminum beauts a while back. Not only are they GORGEOUS but i've never seen another pair. Must. Have. I thought they might look "alright" under the new 4 inch diesel air cleaner. ;) A lil frosty, kinda glitter lookin. Bling Bling! Dig the eff out of the natural to polish finish contrast.
Had to get some fancies for the 083 heads - coming soon to a K5 near you..err near me rather. :D

2 inch adapter (shown) , four inch air cleaner, plus that TBI spacer !? The sky's the limit!
After the round eye swap this winter it won't have a hood on it for some time anyway... still workin on that part. :thumbsup: might make a big hesitation though. The warmer it runs the better I like it.
Almost done gatherin parts. Bout cool enough to do it?? Definitely gonna run copper shims and the compression boost will really help.
