If anyone is interested for reference on their own project, the truck that I posted about in this thread in January just sold yesterday for $7,500. I didn't do anything else to it other than what I had already posted. I didn't get what I wanted for it, but it's better than nothing.

Honest value opinions welcomed. Very serious about selling my all original '79. It's a 2 wheel drive short bed, 305 3-speed manual, 62K miles. Purchased new in '79 by my father. Original paint, engine, etc. Located in western PA. Radiator does have a leak when hot. But otherwise, truck runs great.

Help me understand the market before I try to get it sold. (More pics to follow)

Such a good looking truck. Lots of value there but I don't know enough to guess.

WOW! Now that is a true factory survivor!

My dad's '79 K15 Sierra Grande was that color.

@Midnightmoon I have no idea, but just throwing a number out there I would say 25-30k if you cleaned her up real nice.

Look at sold prices on Mecum Auction to see what comps sold for?
I went to Mecum Indy and some of the prices were insane.

Beautiful truck, great color and appears unmolested.
No one can tell you what to specifically price it at; Utah is different from Tennessee and different from Vermont, but you know that.
When you start getting past the 15K mark, options make a substantial difference. The lack of 4WD and A/C are two I'm noting.
What market does that truck fall into? Very few will pay a premium for that as a daily driver as the value will diminish greatly. It is definitely car show quality or attractive for someone who wants a clean original base to modify. That is probably your market.
If that belonged to my dad, I'd leave it to my widow to sell.
