Hi,
So after taking my truck through a massive, and deep, puddle ina dirt parking lot, the air filter is soaked. So much so that it seems like it had been underwater (Even though it hadn't).
Many of my friends trucks are much newer, in the 2000s. Their air filters are in a box off to the side, with a duct bringing it over to the intake.
This setup allows them to go through puddles like this and have a perfectly dry air filter. So, i was wondering if this would be a good idea. If i found a duct that could fit over my carb, clamp it there, and run it over the the side where i can mount a newer style air filter.
Should this allow me to keep my air filter dry through any mud holes or puddles?
Certainly plan on going through more, but want to have this set first, because otherwise it seems i'd need a new air filter after every trip.
Any recommendations as to the best way to do this/products to use?
Thanks!
