I'll share this in hopes it may help someone. My 84 K10 has a wet spot below the passenger kick panel that I was determined to fix since I just installed new carpet. I could see water drip off of the bottom front of the kick panel (ac truck) but couldn't find any water above the panel. I pulled the cowl, all seemed normal, pulled the kick panel and notice when I looked down through my hood hinge opening I could see my new carpet! The weather strip on the panel was not stuck to the plastic and had dropped down below the mating surface of the panel and metal panel. Ive installed new weather stripping and new screws and its supposed to rain this week here. I didn't spray it with the hose, it was getting dark and Monday got here. Its not my daily driver so Ill be checking on this and posting again.
