I received the valve covers today that Idahovette sent, they are in beautiful shape, and the decals are pretty enough that I think I can mask them and repaint the covers, and they will end up looking very close to new.

The name is Kevin, and I am so pleased with what I received, I won't need to change the decals.
I wasn't expecting to get such a nice set of covers, they just don't happen that often in my world.

Those are nice!
They came from a 1000 mile Goodwrench engine that an A@!#HOLE didn't pay for at my shop. Resold the engine and the new guy brought back the covers, said he got different ones. The paint got knocked off from moving them around for 5 or 6 years until Kevin wanted them.

The weather FINALLY settled down and warmed enough I was able to make some progress.
Got them painted today, learned the narrow roll of green frog tape is the same width as the decals, which made the job MUCH easier.
Maybe tomorrow I can pry off the old covers, adjust the valves where they need to be, and install a pretty set of covers that won't leak!!!
They aren't exactly 100% perfect on the paint, but I am sure they will get bumped against with tools or whatever and splashed with oil from an unknown source to fit in with the rest of the engine.
Close enough for the parties I go to, and I don't do car shows.
