Howdy all!

I’m looking for a glass roller assembly for my 85 suburban rear tailgate glass.

Thanks!

Do you mean the regulator? It's the part that raises the window and the window motor bolts to it.

Maybe that little tension wheel? Just rides on the surface of the glass

Now that I think about it, I may have left mine out of the '88 on purpose. It was leaving a scuff mark in the rear window tint.

Does your glass not roll up properly without it?

It leaves a scuff on mine too. The wheels start to disintegrate basically. I thought about removing it but I never have because I figured it was necessary. I'm sure the window would rattle real bad without it

It rolls fine but it pops the tailgate open when rolling down due to the spring being broken on it.

If I'm seeing it correctly, you should be able to source springs pretty easily. They're called torsion springs. Again, if I'm looking at the diagram properly.

Personally, I'd remove it and see how well it does or doesn't work.

I had no issues with mine for years. Not until the tailgate started rotting off of the body. Then it needed "help" getting the glass up into the upper window channel.
