Vortec heads

I'm looking for a set of vortec type heads in aluminum, and was wondering if y'all might have some suggestions of manufacturers to look at, who not to buy, and where to purchase. I see tons of stuff on eBay, Walmart, Amazon, etc, etc. Been 30 years since I looked at building a motor, and boy has the market changed.

Anywho, any bones y'all can throw me would be greatly appreciated.

I used these heads on my SBC, and they are a complete assembled head. They don’t claim to be a Vortec clone, but have similar performance, and 64 cc chambers. They are drilled for both Vortec and older SBC intakes.
I also used thinner head gaskets, since unless you change pistons you still have pretty low compression with a 64cc chamber.

There's better heads than vortec for the money out there. Do an internet search for small block chevy cylinder head shootout I've posted it in here a couple of times but have no idea where.

I used Edelbrock's E-Tec heads. Aluminum and much beefier than a vortec, but supposedly in the same design-genre.

Unless you find something used and not thrashed, wont be cheap.
