Hello, so I am rebuilding a 1979 k10 pickup. I cleaned up and repainted the frames on vent windows and new 2 piece rubber from precision as well as one new glass as I had one tinted and one non tinted.

So put the windows all back together but now the latch on the new glass won't reach the frame and the other latch from the window I didn't replace barely grabs. Not sure if that's how it was originally as I didn't pat attention to that. Were the latch holes from 73 to 79 close to the frame then the 80 to 87 ones?

It looks like you have the wrong latch for that application. That glass must be for '81 & up that used these type of latches with a longer handle.

OK thanks, that's what I thought. This what the truck came with other than the one new vent window so must have been changed at some point

Curiously, just got a 77 with original windows and gaskets and noticed right away that the latch doesn’t catch by much at all.

I was gonna say, how can that be an 80+ window without the locking mechanism
