On 91 suburban doors do the vent window gaskets sit on the outside or are they tucked in? Didn't pay attention when pulled out.

The lower leg and the hypotenuse wrap around both side of the frame and are visible from inside and outside. The vertical leg - the one where the lock handle is mounted - is kind of tucked into the frame on the outside and is not visible from in the cab. So, from what I can see, you have it right.

Very tough job. Took me many hours and lots of sweat to get the fit right. Used both ends of plastic putty knives and lots of soapy water to coax the rubber into the frame. My fingers were sore when I was done!

I have a dumb question, are you doing this with the vent installed on the door or removing the vent window?

The vent is inside the door but not fully seated yet, then I pushed the gasket in as I worked the vent back into place.
