I have a 350 GM crate engine in my truck and am going to change the valve seals. The video's I have watched showed valves that have 2 groves but the valves on my engine has only 1 grove. My question is about the o-ring , does it go in the same groove as the keeper?? or ????

Should have also said I have new fel-pro seals, comes with both o-rings and umbrella seals.
So just using the umbrella ones will be enough?

The o rings don't go in the groove, just around the stem. I think the crate engines are cut for the positive umbrella seals.

Older motors just used the O-ring, but there is a tool that machine shops used to cut for the PC type (umbrella) seal. look at the valve stem where it comes out of the head, it is most likely machined VS cast. If so use a PC (felpro) seals much better.
