I have a 77 K10 and am replacing the saddle tanks with 87 tanks to support my Sniper EFI. The filler hose diameter is different on the 87 tanks so the stock filler hose wont work. Looking for good suggestions? Buy 87 filler necks? Would they fit on the 77? Any other suggestions?

My current 77 filler necks and the old tanks have 1 1/4 " and the new tanks have 1 3/8". The newer style tanks are larger than the 77 original. We ordered a universal hose that supports 1 3/8" but I'm not sure if I should try to get 87 filler necks that are also that size (if they would even work or try to fab something to reduce down to the existing necks.

An 87 filler neck wont work as they had a door to cover the gas cap an your 77 doesn't.

Thank you! I was just looking at LMC and noticed the exact same thing. Will have to figure out a good way to reduce the new 1 3/8" hose down to the smaller filler neck.

An exhaust shop could make and adapter from the small to the larger if they have the smaller dies.

What about an exhaust reducer that matches the sizes you need and have a bead rolled into each end for the hose to slip over or even a weld bead if a bead roller is unavailable? Then hunt the local wrecking yards to find appropriate filler hoses that matches the sizes needed (or buy repop hoses and cut them to fit)
