New here, doing a restomod 91 suburban, 6.0LS, lowering, hydroboost, etc was wondering if anybody found a quick ratio steering box from another vehicle that swaps in. I know companys make ones that are pricey and a lot of saginaw boxes are same as far as bolt on, etc. I have swapped boxes around in the past just not on one of these...thanks Rob

I was thinking about doing one of the rack and pinion setups.

I bought a CPP 500 unit for a lot less than the Borgeson. Not quite as fast ratio as the Borgeson though. Borgeson is probably the best one out there and I do intend to use a Borgeson shaft but since the truck we are building is for a teenager, I had to maintain some semblance of a budget.

CPP has 20% this weekend.

Also, very important to use a brace on the steering box on these trucks. Ridetech, ORD, etc as these frames flex a lot. And check the rivets on the fron crossmember for any play.
