Under Hood color?

Did all square bodies come with the underside of the hood black? I'm trying to decide if I want to go with body color or keep it black. I'll have the insulated panel so it would only be the perimeter that would be white (body color), but not sure how that would look. any opinions?

From the trucks I have seen on here, I think it's supposed to be body color. White or lighter colors would help with heat transfer too....

The hoods were painted body color, they just faded the color out where the insulation pad went

My ‘80 (no pad) and both of my ‘91s (1 with, 1 without) were/are body color on the underside of the hood.

Everything under the hood is body color other than the inner fender wells.

I must have two aftermarket hoods cause they are both black on the underside.
