Okay, okay…. When I said engine mounted scoop in my previous comment what I was imagining is a “shaker” hood scoop. I couldn’t remember the dang term for it.

That 632 BBC is deserving of a custom fiberglass shaker

Nope, mine was Carolina Truck Shop. I'm no longer there though an they are no longer selling parts.

We did sell the Key Parts hoods though. They were well made an we never had any major fitment issues out of them. They were functional but have factory style bracing on the other side.

Why not just buy one of the cowl hoods and cut the understructure to fit? Then just re-weld in some flat stock or something to tie in the bracing that was cut

I've had a couple vehicles with cowl hoods, I'd say they provide good cool fresh air to the engine. You can watch leaves and rain get sucked right in at road speeds, it's kinda neat to watch.
