Is the harmonica connector plugged all the way together? If so, still have the old switch?
It can be plugged in to the connector under the column without being reinstalled in the column. If your hazards start working then I would say the new switch is also bad.

Is the turn signal relay bad ? You can use the one for the hazards to test since they are the same and that one was working.

When I bought a new turn signal switch the wiring connector on the end had "almost" the right spacing. However, I couldn't get all the wires to line up and make a good connection, so I cut the end off the old switch and spliced it on the new switch.
