Nothing major, but I had a 98 Chevy z71 in high school. Well, I traded it in in 2008 on a newer truck and missed it ever since. Well, it’s been located. My cousin found it sitting outside a shop near his house in Hopkins SC. I’m going to call on Monday and see if it can be bought back. It’s the white truck on the left, first in line. Had 200k on it when I traded it, probably well north of 300k now. But it was a beast, power windows and locks, 350 with and automatic.

What are the chances of finding your vehicle again. I hope it works out for you.

Thanks, I hope so too. My first truck I ever had, made a lot of great memories in it. Been sitting there for months so he says.

I'm curious what gives it away that it's the same one?

My cousin would see it driving around from time to time, and he sent me a picture several years ago. Same tint, same wheels, same exhaust setup, and the same adhesive mount on the back glass for a scanner antenna, but no antenna. If I can see it in person, it’ll have two holes in the front bumper from the winch mount brush guard, a slight dent in the hood from my fist when I got mad once, and the most telling sign will be that the front fenders have a slight flare at the top, from when I hit a country bridge WAY too fast and the front tires got jammed up into the fender. Nearly died on that one lol.

Well, it’s in the shop for a motor swap. It’s been there for months. The shop owner is going to see if it can be bought.

That must be exciting to find an old vehicle.

I sold my '72 Nova to a 15 year old kid back in 2005.
He still has the car and keeps me in the loop with what he is doing with it all these years later.
Last weekend he made it the NHRA World Finals in Las Vegas and made it to the top 3 cars there.

Call me crazy, but I think it looked cooler back when you had it. A Rally Nova isn't a common sight and neither are those old Appliance steelies. I had a set of those on a van once.

I like the green with Rally Nova stripe better as well.
It has been several different things since he has had it, but mostly different blacks with a wrap over it for sponsors.

I like the Ralley Nova, better. Bought a brand new 1968 Chevy II in April 68, Grecian Green, 275 horse 327, 4 spd, $2768? Beat that car unmercifally. No headers just dumps, ran 14.04 and 98.? at Firebird Raceway out of Boise. E/Stock on street tires. Strangely it had a saginaw 4spd and a 12 bolt rear axle. Your pics bring back great memories, @Catbox ,......THANKS

Dad got down that way today, and confirmed that it’s definitely my old truck. Still haven’t heard from the owner, but we know for a fact that it hasn’t moved in 6-8 months so he must not be too worried about it. It’s in for a motor swap according to the shops owner.

No worse for the wear all things considered, only thing different is the dash board being all jacked up, and the big shield is gone. I swear he must have been chewing on the dash, the interior was a 9/10 when I traded it.

I guess I should add my plans for it only include replacement bug shield, because I like the looks, put the factory single exhaust back on (that I actually still have) and put some 99-02 Chevy wheels with the stock 265/75/16 tires and call it good. Just a good ole stock tough as nails truck.
