Truck Parts Superstore Scam?

Hi Everyone,

I just thought I would share my experience with Truck Parts Superstore.

3 months ago I ordered fender flares for what I thought was the 'best deal' ($610 CDN) but soon realized they appear to be a scammer?

They promised 6-8weeks delivery, and nothing. I contacted them and they said they can't guarentee the delivery at all and if I want a refund they will need to keep 25% of the purchase price.

I was of course suspicious, and asked for confirmation they even placed the order with Bushwacker, and they responded that "they don't share B2B info"

So they then offered to refund my order, if they can keep 25%

Seems to me that the recession is hitting them hard and they are happy to take your order, claim they can get it in 6-8weeks, and keep 25% if you want to hold them to thier word.

Did you use a credit card? If so, I'd have a chat with the bank and get the 100% back you're due.

I have no personal experience with Truck Parts Superstore, but your transaction sounds like a scam to me.

If they can't prove that the parts have been ordered after 3 months, on a 6-8 week lead time, take it up with you credit card company.

Like everyone has said take it up with your credit card company. Also call and report them to the BBB. They shouldn't have even charged your card until the item ships. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that is a online purchase law.

Report them to the State Attorney’s General Office which will make a visit and shut them down immediately, full refund should come quickly.

They've scammed some of the guys on GMT 400.com too, these creeps need to be dealt with!

I had an issue like that with an electronics company in New York City, got the run around for months. Within 7 days of reporting to the General, I had a full refund. The scammers then made some weeny threats towards me and I said you want more trouble, never heard from them again.

I had the same problem since October of last year from a company called DanaPort distributors for a radiator support I have finally cancelled the order but have yet to see a refund I did the whole thing BBB, the AG’s office and nothing as of yet it’s a very frustrating experience and feel for anyone else who has experienced this from shady websites I wish you luck

Be sure you report it to the State Attorney General’s office of the State the business is located.

Unfortunately that is far too common. Gotta make sure you only order from known, reputable companies
