Truck lite 27270c:
I picked up some extra cash on a side job. I decided to upgrade my headlights. While I know that there are brighter (jw speaker) i chose to try the truck lites for these reasons. 1. DOT compliment. I don't want to be one of the numerous ********** that are running off-road lights on the highway. 2. Looks. I wanted something that is at least similar to the stock look. Bug eye, spider eye, and green halo just aren't for my truck. 3. Price. Yes there are cheaper, but truck lite has dropped by almost $100 per headlight in the past 8 months making it competitive with the knock offs. 4. Warranty. While a few headlights are a bit cheaper, most have zero warranty.
The halogens in the truck just weren't cutting it. My drives to hunting and sometimes for work are in the dark on country roads in heavy deer country, exactly like the photos are taken on. As you can see in the pictures, the truck lite, even on dim is brighter than the halogens, especially into the ditch area. The truck lites do have some shadows, which I was aware of prior to purchase. They are not very noticeable when driving, but they are there.
The distance to the weeds at the very end of the road is exactly 96 yards in all pics.
Lastly, absolutely a perfect fit in my 79. Zero adjustments to anything, just plugged in and button up. 15 min max to change.
With each photo I was standing directly between the two headlights with my back touching the pushbar. In order they are halogens dim, halogens bright, truck lite dim, truck lite bright, appearance. I hope this can be helpful for other round eye owners.
