Would not give up my wing windows for mirrors of any kind and hate the jungle gym looking mirrors found on duallies.

Turn them parallel to the road and take flight

I actually liked the big tripod when I drove the '87. Only reason I didn't plan on using them on the '84 is that I wanted to stay somewhat true to how they were built for the military.

lol. I was thinking about finishing that sentence with, "but seeing how things have turned, I might as well use the big tripods."

I saw on an episode of Diesel Brothers that Heavy D installed tow mirrors and still kept the wing window. I'll look for a link.

That's not a chevy though. And I'm thinking there was some bodywork involved to create the section its mounted to.

Agreed that's a nonfunctional wing to start with.....which is like wiping before you poop........just don't make any sense.
