Back in the 70's and 80's, when you purchased most pickup trucks they did not come standard with a rear bumper. So many folks had special needs for the bumper type (towing, campers, etc.) that the manufacturers made it an option. You could order it from the factory, but it was not mandatory.

A little trivia - when I ordered a Ford Econoline van in 1977 I found that almost nothing was considered standard. If you bought the basic truck it had only the powertrain, uninsulated metal box with roll down front windows, and a driver's seat. I had to order the passenger seat, side windows in the door, back windows, spare tire, rear bumper, radio, etc. The standard powertrain was a 6 cylinder with 3 speed manual on the column, no PS, no PB.

Marketplace, Ebay, swap meets, asking around your local C/10 Club or farming/horse communities are pretty much your only option.

It’s built like a hitch. The center section is pretty thick and the plates that connect the center section to the frame are at least 1/2” plate.

Is that an FEY brand? I used to have one, with the same style top pad. I have no idea where that bumper went though, lol. I don't remember selling it.

I don’t recall. I just remember the sticker that was on it before I sanded and painted it said V5 rated. I tried looking for a photo, but couldn’t find anything.

I might be able to find one in one of the folders on my computer.

I’ve got an old Bailey drop bumper from the 80s on my truck. They were made in Oklahoma. Old photo, but got it to go with the early, non chrome Warn winch bumper on front of the truck.

Bought it out of a yard in Parsons KS. Looks like it was dealer installed, but don’t remember the dealer name, but it was in Harper, KS

My truck is one or two notches uglier than yours..

This bumper perfectly bridged the gap between the new hitch and box. A stock bumper would have looked odd. That's junkyard fresh paint too
