Are you talking about a drop bumper? If so, they're aftermarket.

Measure yours, easiest way to know. Just curious, why the "need"?

I'm looking for a trailer hitch. There are 2 different kind depending on if u have the 10" bumper or not.

So the 10" is only aftermarket? It was never OE?

What do I measure? The top part u step on?

The drop bumper is just the tow bumpers that they had from the factory. The ones with the big step and 3 holes for hitch balls. Had one on my K10 that went to the junk yard.

This is a 10" drop bumper. Many moons ago they were very popular to put on trucks, especially squares.

I didn't know that's what those were called. I always liked those on trucks through the big GMT400s and the square Fords.

I still like the drop style bumpers. Apparently they were available through the dealer back in the day. Member Don5 here got one for his truck back when they were still available. He said it's in a GM box and everything.

Nope, that's just the average factory step bumper. They could be had in chrome or painted. There were countless aftermarket look-a-likes, but that one is factory (the dead giveaway is the outer bumper bolts).

The drop style bumpers were a flat-faced bumper that would hang lower towards the center to get the hitch closer to the ground. Many of them were rated for a lot of tongue weight and trailer weight.
