Did a full throttle pull from a stop for the first time with my current setup. The TH400 shifts a little above 3000 rpm unless I manually shift through the gears. This makes sense, since it was originally behind a 6.2 diesel. There’s a TCI kit that comes with a variety of weights and springs. Lighter weights equals higher shift points. I’ve read a couple of things that most people end up using their factory springs with lighter weights.
My question is, can I just shave my existing weights to achieve the same result?
