I have a ‘89 Burban GMC V1500, TBI, below the A/C compressor, in the same aluminum bracket on the passenger side is an empty bracket pocket, it looks like it could fit an air compressor? Is there an air compressor I could mount in this void to power on bird air?
What goes here?

Probably for an air pump your rig is not equipped with.

I guess whatever will fit there is what you could mount.

Also wonder what Psi a factory air pump would supply ...

I know this post is a bit older, I just bought a truck that is also missing the smog pump, from what I can see there aren't any hoses or anything hanging loose, no obvious signs that it was there and removed. My suburban is a '90 originally bought in CA so this leaves me wondering if it was built this way?

In California, I would assume it had the smog pump. Look to see if there any pipe plugs in the exhaust manifold where lines would of connected or somewhere else in the system.

Haven't had a chance to dig around much, trying to get rid of the thrift store/ashtray aroma first but when I do I'll post photos of any plugged off stuff so other folks like myself know what it looks like
