I'm getting up there in years and my recall abilities from the late fifties, when I was working in a filling station, is not so good. Can any of you folks give me any ideas of how to fix a grease fitting that will not accept grease? I have three of them. And BTW, how many grease fittings are there on a '84 C10? Thanks.

Best of my recollection....4 on the tie rods, 4 on the ball joints, and 3 on the idler and pitman arms. And one in the slip yoke/carrier bearing if you have a two piece driveshaft.

Grease fitting cleaners work pretty well . Sometimes you can load it with a penetrating oil . To bust thru stubborn clogged fittings . Or load with hot oil .
Just hit with a hammer . Then it forces the grease on thru .

I’d be interested in hearing more about how any of these methods work.
I always just change out the zerk but sometimes it seems it would be way easier if you could un clog it.

Lincoln makes this kit however there are others out there , I believe harbor freight carry's one . Some are very stubborn, you pop these with a good lick . May take several hits
