Anyone know of any sun visors that fit the squarebody windshields ? Got a new dash pad and would like to protect it from the sun but every one I found is still too large for our windshields, I did a search and did not find anything on this topic ( wording may be incorrect ) so if there is a post on this I was unable to find it and I apologise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, you're talking about a sun shade. The couple times in the past that I've found them short enough, they really aren't wide enough. The shade cuts down on the interior heat, even if it doesn't fit that well. In addition to the shade, you can just lay a beach towel across the dash pad.

I had a feeling that would be the problem but I figured I would check in with experts and see if there was a solution , thanks for the help!

That is also a possibility , I figured if anyone knew the answer or had a "hack" ( pun intended lol) for it, it would be found on here . Thanks

I have a dash carpet. Some don’t like them, but I don’t mind it. Fits perfect, but it came with the truck, so I’m not sure who makes it.

I have a set of those "pop up" universal fit sunshades. They cover almost the entire windshield and I just twist them up and throw them behind the seat. They aren't the best quality, but they fit.

That's what I bought , but they are too tall , they go way past the height of windshield , I had this same problem with my 06 dodge ram except that the windshield on it was so large that all the sunshades weren't tall enough lol , smh

I just got the X-Large fold-up one from WallyMart. Works well enough.

New vehicles have much “taller” windshields. They’re angled back more for aerodynamics. Of all of our vehicles, my wife’s Honda Fit has the “tallest” windshield. It got a crack in it from a skateboard truck and it’s $450 to replace...crazy

These are the type I'm talking about: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Motor-Tr...-Car-SUV-VAN-Truck-Sun-Shade-3-Sizes/54406922

They are kinda big, but they do the job. I just squish them in there and make them fit!

UV is more damaging to the dash and interior than heat. You could get a very very mild tint on the windshield and side glass that cuts UV rays and use a sun shade to block heat

I have the same problem in my wife's first generation Sequoia. It has a more upright short windshield. I just got a universal fit accordion one from AlDi and have to crush it up to fit behind the sun visors. It's windshield is more like one out of an older style truck, it's less angled back like a lot of new vehicles with dashes that are a mile long.

I live in good ol' sunny Florida so I may just tint the windows and windshield , haven't decided yet , always hat tint on all my other vehicles but was digging the fishbowl look on the square
